Chickenweed is an antiseptic herbal remedy that is good in salads and doubles as a skin salt. You will often see its white flowers flying through the grass in early spring. How to make a smooth salvi (and why you want to!)
Like many surrounding spring plants, fennel is a nutritious and cleansing herb. I like to think that nature knows that we can all use spring cleaning after the long winter months. Chickenweed contains a variety of nutrients, including:
- Vitamins A, C, E, and B complex
One of the best ways to benefit from chocoid is to eat it in large quantities, like any other spring salad. It is used internally to moisturize dry tissues and soothe swelling throughout the body. People with arthritis know that it can help lubricate hard joints on the inside. It has a history of helping to get rid of congestion, infections, and abscesses in the body.
Benefits of DIY Chickenweed Salve
We can use the benefits of fat all year round in the form of salvin. Although it does not work at all like a greasy salad, a salvo is beneficial in itself. Chickenweed works to relieve itching and external irritation and inflammation. Lubricating saliva can help:
- Pull out the impurities of the skin like itching
- Draw splashes like this black drawing silo
- Easy to connect
- Relieve itchy, dry and irritated skin conditions
- Repair damaged skin (cuts, wounds, burns, etc.)
- Relieve Hemorrhoids
- Disperse excess fluid and congestion in the body
Sawdust for chocolate
Most stores do not have grease on their cupboards so it is best to make it better. This grass likes to grow in patches and is often found in the backyard or can be grown as a ground cover.
Choked is a low-growing, shrubby green plant. The petals of the flower are star-shaped and have five lobes, each divided into two parts. Below the stem is a line of short hairs.
The red pimp looks like chocoid, but it’s toxic. The best way to tell them both is to look at the flowers. Chickenweed has white flowers, while red pimples are orange / red.
Preparation of Choked Salo
We can use fresh chicken for snacking, but I prefer to dry it first. Excess moisture in this herb can cause rapid deterioration in oils and salo. An easy way to dry chocoid is to keep it in a dehydrator for a few hours in a low temp.
No hydrator? Tie the chicken in bundles and hang it upside down in a cool, dry place for a few weeks.
There are many ways to make salvo, but a high speed double boiler is the stone top method. It also encourages the evaporation of any water in the plant material. I use the stove method for my home-made healing.

Add chocoid and oil to the top of a double boiler or heat-protected glass bowl.
Place the cup on top of the half-filled pot, or double boiler if used. Gently boil water on low heat for 3 hours, repeat as needed.
Squeeze the herb and pour the filtered oil into a measuring cup. If you need to reach 1 cup, drain it with a little more oil.
Add a mixture of wax and oil to a clean double boiler or glass bowl. Refill the bottom pot with water and stir until the wax is completely dissolved.
Turn off the heat, add essential oil when used, and immediately pour the cellophane into the containers.
