Soak in the tub with the melting of this rose bath so that the pressure can melt! Unlike bathing bombs, which are fuzzy and refreshing, bath molts contain rich oils to soften the skin. This is a great way to pamper yourself and give a perfect gift for Valentine’s Day; or just because!
What are Rose Bath Melt?
Bath bombs, bath fuji, bath salt; melt bath in this list! Bath molts contain contaminants that melt literally in the tub.
There are many ingredients to make them, but I chose shea butter, coconut oil, and cocoa butter. Here’s why:
Shea butter for skin
Shia butter, historically used in wound care, helps make collagen. This butter also helps to strengthen the skin and fights wrinkles by fighting inflammation. This is an important part of my favorite recipes, including this whipped body butter.
Coconut oil for melt bath
Coconut oil is like a mace of skincare ingredients! My family uses it in everything from extracting oils to lotions and chocolate coconut energy bars. It is also the best choice for melting these rose baths.
As an antioxidant, coconut oil is the second most important source of lauric acid after breast milk. This oil is also stable at room temperature so it does not go as fast as some oils. Coconut oil is antimicrobial, helps the skin to heal faster, and can help fight cellulite.
Geranium essential oil daily
It takes about 10,000 pounds of flowers to produce 1 pound of real rose essential oil. You can easily pay over $ 1000 for just one ounce of pure rose essential oil! The Absolute Rose is treated with chemical solvents and is slightly cheaper, but often more toxic. It also does not consider the environmental impact of converting large amounts of plant matter into a small form of essential oil.
Fortunately, rose geranium has a similar fragrance but at a fraction of the price. If you don’t have rose geranium, Egyptian or bourbon geranium will work, but the scent will not be the same. I find this a very cheap option, it smells amazing and comes with skin benefits.
According to aromatherapist Julie Lallis, rose geranium helps to improve dull or oily skin and can help with acne and cellulite.
Rose clay is a type of cologne clay, but instead of ordinary white, it is pinkish pink. Its red color is due to the naturally occurring iron oxide. Rose kaolin has a consistency in the soil so it is easily found in skin care products and is especially good for dry to normal skin types.
Warning: Red clay Can Stained clothes so I use an old towel when the rose bath is dry after melting. Definitely not the time to use your favorite white towel!
Although rose essential oil is rare and expensive, it is a very inexpensive way to add roses to skincare. Infusion of rose petals in coconut oil helps to enhance the beneficial properties of the plant. Roses contain antioxidants, soothe both skin and mood, and are anti-inflammatory. Use only rose-infused coconut oil in this rose bath melting recipe.
You can see how I infuse herbs and oils here.
What if I don’t have a bathtub?
You can still enjoy the bath melt even if you don’t have the comfort of a tub. I like Epsom salt foot baths, but you can melt baths instead of salt. Your feet will thank you!
Rose bath melts
This is the best way to open the skin melting comfortable rose bath. They soften the skin and soothe both the body and the mind.
Small glass cup
In a small glass bowl, combine coconut oil, cocoa butter and sheba butter.
Place the cup halfway over the pot filled with water to make a double boiler effect. Heat, stirring occasionally, until butter is completely melted.
Remove from heat immediately and whisk in essential oil and rose petals if necessary.
Sprinkle some rose petals under each silicone mold.
Pour the oil mixture into the molds and transfer to the freezer
After about 30 minutes, the bath should be firm enough to melt.
To store: Stay away from direct light and heat. These rose baths melt and should be stored for at least 12 months when stored properly.
These melt baths are extremely moisturizing! After patting dry, I added extra oil to my skin and it was well absorbed. It made the tub a little dirty, but it also made a little bit of dish soap and elbow grease.
